My Husband Takes Gemzar For Lung Cancer. He Takes It
My husband takes Gemzar for lung cancer. He takes it once a week. After two treatments either his platelets are so low or his white count is so low that he must wait a week. He has only had 6 treatments since May.
A recent CT scan showed the tumors in both lungs and lymph nodes have shrunk about 10%. He had cyber knife radiation three times before going on chemo, but it was recommended that he not do that again. Should he try another chemo or stick with Gemzar?
