My Husband Used A Qtip In His Ear Which Then

My husband used a qtip in his ear which then caused his ear to bleed. It bled for a good day then finally stopped the day after. Now he has a pool of thick dried blood in his ear and not sure how to remove it. It's very thick and dried. Not sure if peroxide would be safe or what would be the best solution.
