My Husband Was Diagnosed With Cirrhosis Of The Liver Back

My husband was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver back in 2013. He was in the hospital for congestive heart failure at that time. He was supposed to go for a liver biopsy, but refuses to go. I think he is in denial of having cirrhosis. I wanted to know what stage he is in; I have read about it, but some articles say people live for years with it.
