My husband was in a bike accident and broke his leg in three places. He had surgery and they added a rod and screws. He is a type 1 diabetic and uses 45 units of insulin a day. Now 3 weeks after surgery, he has these strange bumps under the skin on his for arms and now on his fingers. He is taking hydromorphone 2 mg every 6 hours. We asked his surgeon about the lumps but he did not have any idea.
