My Husband Was Just Put On Furosemide And He Is

My husband was just put on furosemide and he is having problems with loosing his urine before he can get to the bathroom and he is getting very depressed about it. He doesn't normally retain fluids but last week when he went to the er for swelling and retention of fluids they put him on it. It seems to making the problem worse. About a month ago he had an aorta valve replacement and for the first two weeks everything was fine then his blood pressure started going up the last two to three weeks. His bp always ran on the low side of 90-125 now it is high and when we took him to the er it was over 210.
