My Husband Was Not By Our Dog After It Had

My husband was not by our dog after it had been run over 2 days ago. There is a small puncture wound I'm concerned about. It is located between his neck and chin. He is being treated with the antibiotic augmentin. There is a small pea sized knot right at the site. It is sore but not a lot of pain. Should I be worried about infection and take him in or will the antibiotic be sufficient?
