My Husband Was Prescribed Norco 5-325 After His Surgery Five

My husband was prescribed Norco 5-325 after his surgery five days ago. The pain was pretty bad today, so he took two after work when the ibuprofen wasn't cutting it. He also had 2 glasses of red wine (which I advised against obviously and he disregarded) He was kind of "out of it" this evening, slurring his speech, drowsy, etc.. and when we went to bed, he began shivering and twitching with chills, is this normal? He's asleep now, but his breathing seemed abnormal (long gaps between breaths) right before he fell asleep. Should I be worried?
