My Husband Was Put On Nitrofurantoin For A Urinary Track

My husband was put on Nitrofurantoin for a urinary track infection on Sept. 17. He took 8 of the 14 pills, and yesterday he started having fever and chills in the afternoon. He felt better this morning, but by afternoon the fever and chills are back. Should he be seen by a doctor? We are on vacation, so he can't see the family doctor. What can we do?
