My Husband Was Seen Yesterday In The ER For Several

My husband was seen yesterday in the ER for several kidney stones they prescribed 500 mg of Naproxen, take 1 tablet by mouth twice a day as needed for pain. They also prescribed Norco 7.5-325, take one to two tablets by mouth every four hours as needed for pain. I seem to remember them saying one of them was for an anti-inflammatory? How do we stagger these medications as he is still in a tremendous amount of pain? For instance he took two Norco is at 4 o'clock when should we have taken the Naproxen?
