My Husband Woke Up With Blood Running From His Nose.

My husband woke up with blood running from his nose. When he went to spit there was nothing but blood. He has a swollen neck and there's a gurgling sound when he moves the skin beneath chin back and forth. What could be wrong? He refuses to see a doctor.
