My Husbands 52 Yrs. Old Male, Has Over 300 Blood

My husbands 52 yrs. old male, has over 300 blood sugar today/complaining of not feeling right. Had been sick since last Sun. with me with loose stool, dizzy, he's not on blood sugar meds/is diabetic was getting side effects from the pills/not on anything now. He has he says neuropathy of feet, hands, pain all the time/when he has to takes Alleve or Alleve p.m. a few nights ago 1-2 tabs for 3 nights in a row. I think he also has side effects from it. His visions bad without glasses he says. He hasn't gone to Dr. but says he will. He's under stress due to job/finances. I think it's a combo of all the above what do you think ? He's saying he may've to go on insulin , his brother/grandmother are/were diabetic.
