My Husbend Has Had Mild Pain In His Right Testicle

My husbend has had mild pain in his right testicle for about two week He spake w a Dr today on the phone about that and his only other symptom, frequent urination. my husbend is and active 35 year old man. The Dr told him he needs to go get an MRI or cat scan i cant remember witch he had said. with in the net 24 hours. he was sure it was testiculer cancer. We were devistated. But after reading up online it dosent seem like what he has. How could the Dr bee so sure over the phone when he only has 2 minor symptons? What do you think? Ps, sorry about the grammer. its hard to type thru swollen eyes :(
