My Knee To My Calf Has Been Hurting Me Since

My knee to my calf has been hurting me since thanksgiving, I have not injured it to my knowledge but I do have rheumatoid arthritst . My doctor took a X-ray did not see any fluid so he gave me a medrel PAC. Doesn't feel like my typical RA problems. Was wondering about d.v.t., my leg is swollen and tender to the touch. Don't want to be a hyprocondreact but my brother and mother passed away from blood clots.
