My Knuckles On My Left Hand Have Got Dark All

My knuckles on my left hand have got dark all of a sudden. I have been ignoring it for about 2 weeks but it's still there like a permanent mark. If i try to scratch it off, then it becomes white which is the same as scratching any other part of my skin. Only on my left hand! Please diagnose it, someone!
