My Last Routine Test Showed A High Level Of Amylase

My last routine test showed a high level of amylase of 180. Other test results were okay although my total cholesterol was 232. I sometimes have stomach discomfort but no vomiting, jaundice, fever or nausea. I used to have gastritis and acid reflux. What could be the cause of this high amylase and what can i do to reduce it and bring it under control. I am 54 years old
