My Left Knee Cap Seems To Threaten To Dislocate. For

My left knee cap seems to threaten to dislocate. For example, I might simply try to straighten my leg in bed during sleep or while standing upright, and my knee cap moves forward and to the left, which feels very disconcerting. This morning, I had to push it over and back in place. I'm wondering if I have something torn in there.
