My Left Ovaries Hurt. Especially When It's Time To Have

My left ovaries hurt. Especially when it's time to have an menstrual cycle. I had the IUD by now that it's been removed I am still having these pains. It usually goes away after my cycle, but seems as if the pain is constant. The pain is relieve by pain medication, but the you can tell the moment it wares off. Please help me seek answers. I am a nursing student so I know a little knowledge about the body.
