My Left Upper Back Teeth Are Hurting As Well As

My left upper back teeth are hurting as well as my left ear and temple. I had xray of teeth a few weeks ago. This pain was felt rarely in the past and has now increased over the last few day. I have been taking ibuprofen for the pain, but when the medicine wears off the pain returns. Should I see a doctor or have my dentist re xray the area?
