My Leopard Geckos Eye Looked Like It Had Sand In

My leopard geckos eye looked like it had sand in it, so my father tried to take it out. After he got it out, my gecko looked like he had no eye left kind of. That was on Monday. Now his eye is completely shut. We've tried to opened it with a dampened Q-Tip, but it won't open. It looked stuck shut, and looks flatter then the other eye. It looks like there is no eye holding up the eyelid
