My Little Cousin Is 12 Years Old, And He's Having

My little cousin is 12 years old, and he's having little pains everywhere for a couple seconds then it going away. He's also very warm everywhere and he feels sick. I think it's a growth spurt but he keeps saying you can't get sick from it. And he was perfectly fine yesterday. What do you think is the matter?
