My Lmp Was Sept 21,2014. I Haven't Had A Period

My lmp was sept 21,2014. I haven't had a period for this month. Taken 2 hpts and both negative. Went to the health dept today for a screening, she saw that my period was late and gave a pregnancy test, negative. What are the possible reasons if I'm not pregnant??
