My Middle Finger Got Smashed Between The Handle Bar Of

My middle finger got smashed between the handle bar of my bike and the handle bar of an other speeding vehicle in opposite direction. I don't see any fracture. I am able to move my finger but a bit pain in joint and it's swollen and upper part of finger turned to light purple. Is there anything major I am not aware about? And could you suggest some basic home treatment. I wouldn't like to go to doctor if it's really a minor temporary wound.
