My Mom Has Type 2 Diabetes She's 81 Yrs Old

My mom has type 2 diabetes she's 81 yrs old and takes Metformin recently she was admitted to the hospital for kidney failure and while there they monitored her diabetes with insulin since being released some how the prescription and the fact she has diabetes period fell threw the system she's in nursing facility. For the past two months at least she has been sweating profusely mostly when she eats is this due to her diabetes?
