My Mom Is 80 Yearso Old. Just Had Lower Colon

My mom is 80 yearso old. Just had lower colon removed due to an area with cancer. Surgery was supposed successfull and ready for discharge but left leg swells if she is sitting or walking. They are doing a CT through morning g. What could be the cause of that.
