My Mom Who Is 87 Years Old Is Taking Metoprolol

My mom who is 87 years old is taking metoprolol tartrate 25 MG once in the am and once in the pm. Can we change her dose to only once a day because I am concerned about her bottom eyelids swelling up and feel that her dosage is too high. She is very petite and only weighs about 92 lbs
