My Mother Aged 58 Is Suffering From Stage 4 Cancer

My mother aged 58 is suffering from stage 4 cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy... Her body was too weak after 4 cycles of chemo and the doctor decided to stop the treatment...it's been months since she stopped the medication. Her blood levels have been dropping at an alarming speed. We have been depending on blood transfusions for a while... Yesterday it dropped to six and her legs swelled and she can't breath properly. The doctor has ordered 4 paints of blood and some drip medicine to open up her chest.
Is there anything else that can help? Will this blood transfusions be effective enough? Please help.
