My Mother Had A Giant Lump On The Side Of

My mother had a giant lump on the side of her neck that started leaking fluid. I put gentle pressure and this white pus came out that looked like very fine cottage cheese. I kept applying pressure to get all the pus out and this white thing came out that was hard. The cottage cheese like pus is still coming out every time I clean it and bandage it. What is this?
