My Mother Has A Swollen Ankle And The Skin Is

My mother has a swollen ankle and the skin is very red around the ankle and up about 6 inches. She's been on several medications (blood pressure/cholesterol/thyroid) and since Thursday has been on amoxicillin after having several teeth extracted. Should I be worried?
