My Mother Has Been In Hospital With A Lung Infection

My mother has been in hospital with a lung infection for a week and come home yesterday. She has not had a bowel movement all this time . She has copd . I gave her dulcoease last night and she had one this morning and 2 oranges plus plenty of fluids. She is in pain with her back as she is constipated. Can you help? Can she have buscopan ?
