My Mother Has Been On Medical Induced Coma After Brain

My mother has been on medical induced coma after brain surgery for benign tumor. She developed seizure and is on seizure rx. The medications were not controlling it 100% at first but yesterday the EEG showed much improvement with only rare seizure activity. They are trying now light sedation and probably to wean her off the sedation and mechanical ventilation. My Question is, is my mother going to wake up okay or have brain damage from the seizures? It has been 2 weeks now and she is 74 year old, is the medicine given for inducing coma and sedation have long term effect on her? What is the prognosis? Full recovery or some damage?
