My Mother In Law Is 73. She Has Anemia Even

My mother in law is 73. She has anemia even though she gets shots of vitamin B-12. Her feet and face swell and she has become increasingly weak and fatigued over the past few years. My sister-in-law has brought her to one doctor after another but her condition has not improved. Could ths be a sign of cancer?
