My Mother Is 72 Years Old And Has Type 2

My mother is 72 years old and has type 2 diabetes. She has a serious condition of inflammation on both feet. This evening she discover blood on the floor, a large amount of blood, apparently she has no feeling on the bottom of her feet. No cuts or scrapes, but the bottom of her feet were the source of the large amount of blood. What should we do and what is this due to?
