My Mother Is 86 Years Old. The Past Couple Of

My mother is 86 years old. The past couple of days she has experienced a rash on her hands and patches on her arms and upper back. Very itchy. She was on an antibiotic but I took her to the doctor today and he said it wasn't a reaction to the medication. It was calmed down but has now come back to bother her again tonight.
What can we do to ease her discomfort?
