My Mother Is 87 Has Congested Heart Failure. She Fell

My mother is 87 has congested heart failure. She fell about 5 hrs ago. Brused head and her side in a lot of pain. Just now Hospice nurse did a well check, called ambulance, apparently she has a collapsed lung. Gave her morphine for the pain. I am terribly worried that this could be a start of her decline. Is a collapsed lung as serious as I believe it could be?
