My Mother Is 89 And Just Recently Experienced A Rapid

My mother is 89 and just recently experienced a rapid heart beat while In the hospital for dehydration and UTI and then went into A-Fib. She was given amiodarone by iv and then came home with a RX of two 200mg tablets twice a day and eloquist blood thinner for this condition.

After taking it for 5 days two EKG-'s showed her heart rate was only 46 and then drop to 37. The top part of the heart was not firing. It was firing from the junction. She was readmitted to the hospital and the doctor discontinued the amiodarone all at once and is scheduling her for a pacemaker on Monday.

Now is shaking so bad she can barely hold a coffee cup.

Are these conditions or stopping the medications all at once causing this, or could it be something new?
