My Mother Is An Elderly Female, Who Has Been Experiencing

My mother is an elderly female, who has been experiencing copious amounts of mucus after eating most of her meals. She has lost a lot of weight since moving into assisted living 2 years ago, and I'm concerned. She has seen a GI Dr and an ENT. The plan is for her to have an Esophagram and Upper GI. The ENT said he scoped her and larynx looks fine etc. What, if anything can she do? I fear that there is no clear answser
