My Mother Is Loosing Weight From Bronchiectasis And We Are

My mother is loosing weight from bronchiectasis and we are concerned about out next steps. She coughs at times but in my opinion sometimes. I don't want my mother to die. Are antibiotics a good choice for her weight to increase and the cough to suppress?
