My Mother Is On Sinemet For Parkinson's. She Believes It

My mother is on Sinemet for Parkinson's. She believes it must be taken 1/2 hour before a meal. Is it OK to take it 1 hour or 1 1/2 hours before a meal? We have organised for her Aged Care to administer them, and she now thinks if she has Sinemet at 5 she has to eat at 5.30.
