My Mother Just Suffered Severe Aspirin Poisoning And Has Been

My mother just suffered severe aspirin poisoning and has been diagnosed with brain atrophy. They say that it is likely due to many falls/head traumas and that she has the brain of a 100 year old. She is 65 years old and confused to the point of not being able to care for herself or live in reality. What is the prognosis for someone like her? Could she live in this state for 20+ years? Where do younger adults afflicted with brain atrophy typically live as she cannot go back to her house that she lived in alone? Does she require assisted living or just a home health aide in a private home as she has no medical concerns now that the aspirin has been flushed from her system?
