My Mother Was Just Hospitalized, And I Live In Another

My mother was just hospitalized, and I live in another town and am not getting much information over the phone. According to my stepfather, for the last few days my mom (who is 80) has sat in the same chair and not moved because her body hurts all over. Apparently she has not gone to the bathroom in that time. Also, her hand is extremely swollen. That is all I know.
