My Mum Had A Very Severe Case Of C.ff/ulcerative Colitis

My mum had a very severe case of c.ff/ulcerative colitis and septacemia in June of this year and was hospitalised for 8 weeks (4 weeks in HDU)...During this terrible time she had very bad states of confusions, memory loss (she doesn't remember this time)....Although home, she still keeps having reacurring episodes of c.ff (she's on a plan from the hospital that is a drug reduction chart). At the moment she is taking Flidixomyacin for the 2nd time and Vancomyacin, which she has never managed to come completely off, as the infection starts up again. Please could you shed a little light with regards to the mental health aspect and the c.ff, as her Dr's seem to be rather vague and dismissing of it....thank you
