My Naval Has Closed Due To Tender Ping Pong Ball

My naval has closed due to tender ping pong ball sized painfull lump. I was told it was an infected umbilical cyst a year ago, do they keep getting infected or should they be removed. I gave mild cirrhosis and pulmonary hypertension both of which are well managed.
