My Neice Has Been Told She Has Highest Number Of

My neice has been told she has highest number of antibodies ever seen..she has Hashimoto's and was told prednisone is typically given to cut numbers back but would have awful side effects at necessary level. They tried Plasmapharesis with port they inserted and will need to remove at end of her 5 treatments. The pain from the port is almost more than she can stand and she needs to know what other options she might have. I would also like to know who are the top doctors or researchers to turn to. Her endochronologist says he does not want to deal with her condition. She's back in hands of neurologist who sent her to him after diagnosing her as B-12 deficient. Now he is stumped too. Help.
