My Nephew Is Having He Last 2" Of His Colon

My nephew is having he last 2" of his colon removed for a bag. Now they have found that his small intestine is covered (hundreds) and in his stomach too. The stomach ones are non-pre-cancerous. The ones in the small intestine are pre-cancerous. Are there any options besides going in periodically and using laser to get several at a time removed???

I'm talking about polyps - didn't make myself clear.
