My Oldest Brother Who's Now Passed Away Had Type 1

My oldest brother who's now passed away had type 1 diabetes. I'm very familiar with the "diabetic odor". My younger brother who's not diabetic, on occasion gives off a very similar odor. At times, people think he's behaving drunken. Any thoughts? Desperately trying to figure this out!!! Any information or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
