My pain doctor is giving me very low doses of methadone, and percocet can a very low dose help?
I have degenerative discs, and other back problems.(please excuse the misspelled words), because I use to have a drug problem he's afraid to give me a high dose of narcotics. He has only prescribed for me 5mg of Percocet 2x/day (every 12 hours), and 5mg of methadone 3 hours after the Percocet, and I think this is crap. My nights, and mornings are so bad, that most of the time, I have to call 911, but all the hospital can do is give me a shot of deluded, and send me on my way. I have terrible back pain, and horrific spasms, I've been getting epidurals, and cortisone shots. At first they were working, but not anymore. I've been laid up for at least a month now. My pain manager doctor said that he has given me so many shots, and doesn't feel that its working that, I might have to get surgery. The sucky part about that mostly all the orthopedics have dropped out of my plan except 1, and can't see him until October 21, 2015, and then I have to see what he says. If he thinks I need surgery that's all good and all, but I was told that he only does surgery on Mondays, so I'm sure that he's pretty booked, and I'm afraid to wait so long, because each day, I know that the mornings are horrific, as well as the nights, daytime is up, and down. I'm so afraid to lay in bed, because the spasms are so bad, and can barley get up, and when I do manage, you would think someone was being murdered, because of all the screaming, yelling, and crying, sometimes I wind up falling on the floor, and that just makes it worse. I'm at my wits end, and don't know what to do, any suggestions? I'm desperate. Sorry about the story book. I'm just very detailed, when I explain things so people get the whole story. Please pray for me that, I'll be not to bad, and the shot of cortisone will help. I can deal with some pain, but not the spasms. Thank you
