My Partner Has A Shadow On His Right Lung From

My partner has a shadow on his right lung from the tube to middle lung and also has a really bad constant metallic taste in his mouth. He has been refered to the local cancer unit for biopsies. Do u think this could be cancer or am I worrying for nothing.
