My Period Is About 4 Days Late And My Cycle

My period is about 4 days late and my cycle is usually regular, I've also been feeling nauseous and breast feel sore, I took a pregnancy test and it was negative . I've been on Amitriptyline for about three months , is this medication causing these symptoms? and if so how is it safe to come off it?
