My Period Is Late For 3wks Now, I Have Gone

My period is late for 3wks now, I have gone for checkups and was told it's toilet infection or infection from sanitary pad. my husband is mad at me and he thinks I might have transmitted an infection to him too. What should I do and to be fine and is it is true I have transmitted anything to him?
