My Question Is I Have Had Asthma Since I Was

My question is I have had asthma since I was little I'm 21 now and had a wheezing couldnt breath feeling in my chest.My doctor gave me steriods and a inhaler felt better after 2 weeks everything came back normal.Now I have this cough again but not in my chest in my Throat like saliva I've been taking mucinex helped a little but still have this excessive cough all the time?
